Living Labs Project Session: Riparian Zones and Shelterbelts

March 18, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

The NSFA has submitted its application for the Agricultural Climate Solutions Living Lab program. The Living Lab model uses on-farm research to target producer-driven questions. While the application is awaiting approval, we would like to continue to engage with and get feedback from producers to refine our projects.

This session will cover one of our four proposed projects which will be led by the Clean Annapolis River Project. It will focus on establishing riparian zones and shelterbelts to increase carbon sequestration, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve water quality, and increase biodiversity. The session will include an overview of the proposed project and an opportunity to ask questions about the project and the overall Living Lab program. We will also be looking for feedback on the project design and treatments.
