The Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture (NSFA), Department of Agriculture (NSDA) and the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI) are exploring ways to support Nova Scotia’s agriculture sector through immigration. We know there is a demand for skilled full-time workers in the sector and Nova Scotia’s provincial immigration programs can be a solution for those labour needs.
We are discussing potential international markets to promote Nova Scotia as a thriving farming destination to find farm workers and entrepreneurs to aid in succession planning.
LSI can help find the right markets for talent and help employers navigate how to hire through the Nova Scotia Nominee Program and the Atlantic Immigration Program.
