Showcase Your Best at Our AGM Silent Auction!

We are pleased to announce the exciting expansion of our banquet program at this year’s AGM, with a special focus on supporting food security initiatives across Nova Scotia. To help raise funds, we’ll be kicking off with a silent auction during Happy Hour and continuing with a live auction later in the evening – and we’re inviting you to get involved!

If you’re proud of something you’ve grown, raised, or crafted locally, this is your chance to feature it in one of our themed silent auction baskets at the banquet. Not only will you be showcasing your unique product to a community of local producers and artisans who value locally made goods, but 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting food security initiatives across the province.

Details:

  • Express your interest by: Sunday, November 3rd
  • Why participate? You’ll gain exposure for your business at our AGM, with dozens of local attendees, as we’ll give your farm recognition for its donation—all while supporting a great cause.
  • What we’re looking for:  We’re looking for donations that align with a variety of themed baskets.

Basket Themes:

  • Meat and Potatoes – gift certificates for meats, local potatoes, steak knives, spice blends
  • Date Night – local wine or sparkling cider, chocolates, candles, cozy blanket
  • Pull the Wool Over Your Eyes – wool socks or mitts, felted items, wool scarf or blanket, toque
  • Cheese Please – local cheeses, charcuterie board, savory jellies, pickles, cheese knife
  • Get Me Out of This Jam – jams, chutneys, jellies, pottery bowls, cloth napkins, jelly spoons
  • Hay, Take It Easy – self-care items like soaps, beard oils, teas, a journal, candles, bath salts, gift certificate for a massage
  • Eat Some Leaves – salad bowl and tongs, dressings, greens and salad ingredients
  • Honey One So True – honey, flavoured honey, mead, beeswax candles, bee art, honey dipper
  • Don’t Be a Tool – hand or power tools, fencing pliers, toolbelt, work gloves
  • Holly Jolly Christmas – wreath, holiday beverages, mugs, holiday decorations or crafts

These are just a few examples of what we’re looking for. Not every item will fit neatly into a themed basket, so if you’re interested, reach out to discuss how your product could be included!

If this sounds like an opportunity you’d be proud to contribute to, please get in touch with either Margaret Ells (mells@nsfa-fane.ca).

Together, we can make a difference while celebrating our local talents! No matter the size, your contribution is very much appreciated.
