Re-Launching nsagjobs.ca

It takes a strong and sustainable workforce to grow the food that ends up on our tables. Nova Scotians have proudly supported our food supply by filling vital roles in the agriculture industry.

In April, we launched nsagjobs.ca as a response to industry’s need for local labour during the pandemic.  The job bank was popular and received recognition and exposure from across the country.  Due to the positive response and ongoing need, we have upgraded the functionality and automation of the job bank.  Users can now create and manage their own accounts, and job postings are also fed by the Government of Canada Job Bank—they appear on our job bank without employers posting it twice.

Attract. Recruit. Promote: The job bank is an excellent tool to help attract and recruit your workforce and promote your operation to new workers.  With national exposure and high viewership, your postings will be seen by thousands.

In addition to helping your farm source local labour, the job bank is also an important tool that provides data on the real supply and demand of jobs and employees.  We encourage members and agri-businesses to utilize it, as we also use the site to attract youth and promote careers in agriculture.

Highlights of the re-launch:

  • Employers can easily register to create a profile and manage multiple job postings. Vacancies can be marked as filled and all postings will expire after six weeks.  A post can be edited, duplicated, or removed at any time.
  • Employees can register and manage their preferences to receive new job alerts daily, weekly, or monthly.
