• We’re hitting the road! Join us for one of our four upcoming town hall sessions. Session topics include:

  • NSFA policy consultation for 2025-2026 priorities (members only).
  • This is a members session that will be facilitated by John Rix, our Director of Policy and Advocacy, with the aim of collecting opportunities, concerns, and policy ideas to improve the agricultural sector.
  • Consultations on the 2020 Farm Building Code
  • This session will be led by Rural Roots Engineering & Design who have completed an assessment on the impacts of adopting the 2020 National Building Code for farm structures. They will present updates to requirements for structures, fire systems, and the economic impact.
  • Emergency Management Farm Readiness
  • This member session will be facilitated by Katie Hirtle Emergency Management Coordinator, focusing on gathering insights, concerns, and policy ideas to enhance emergency preparedness and response in the agricultural sector. Discussions will cover risk mitigation, response strategies, and recovery planning to strengthen farm resilience against all hazards.
