Farmers are Environmental Stewards

Don’t forget to share your story, best management practices and environmental stewardship

  • Many species at risk, such as the bobolink and wood turtle, create habitat on agricultural land and farm adjust practices to protect these species.
  • Farmers are stewards of the environment. In Nova Scotia, we have an Environmental Farm Plan Program that around 2000 farms participate in.  (examples, of protecting water, soil, erosion mitigation, etc.).
