Call for Participants

We understand that Nova Scotian farms are faced with many unpredictable events that impact their farm businesses. This is why the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture (NSFA) and the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture (NSDA), with the help of MNP, are conducting a case study on Business Risk Management (BRM) programs such as AgriStability and Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance. By participating, you’ll receive a customized BRM financial summary at no cost.

Participation in BRM programs remains low, often due to uncertainty or lack of awareness. The goal of this project is to use real farm cases to highlight what’s working, inform program improvement, and share successes and insights with other producers across the province.

What’s In It for You?

By participating, you’ll receive a customized BRM financial summary, valued between $3,000 – $15,000 – at no cost. This report offers insights into your farm’s financial health with accurate, personal farm data that is aimed at helping optimize your participation in AgriInsurance, AgriStability, and AgriInvest. The goal is to help you manage risk, make confident financial decisions, and plan strategically for the future.

Who Are We Looking For?

Farmers who are:

  • Located in Nova Scotia
  • Willing to share financial and operational data (with full confidentiality agreement in place)
