Agriculture Informed Therapy Training

About the Training

Farm Safety Nova Scotia is sponsoring mental health professionals from across the province to participate in Agriculture Informed Therapy™ training, a specialized program developed by the National Farmer Mental Health Alliance (NFMHA). This training equips therapists with the knowledge and skills needed to build trust with agricultural clients and provide care that reflects the realities of farm life.

This training is designed as the first step in an ongoing journey. Participants will be invited to join an Ag-Informed Therapist Network, a community of practice committed to continued learning, peer connection, and strengthening mental health support for farmers and rural communities across Nova Scotia.

As an Ag-Informed Therapist, you’ll be recognized through both Farm Safety Nova Scotia and the NFMHA as a professional with training and experience supporting agricultural clients.

Benefits of Participating:

  • Access to a growing network of mental health professionals focused on rural and agricultural communities
  • Opportunities for ongoing peer connection, shared learning, and collaboration
  • Specialized knowledge that enhances your practice and ability to connect with farmers
