2025-28 Organizational Plan

The Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture’s 2025–2028 Organization Plan outlines the strategic direction that will guide the Federation’s work over the next three years. Developed through a member survey and planning sessions with Council and staff, the plan reflects the priorities of Nova Scotia farmers while providing greater transparency into the Federation’s work and decision-making.

The Organization Plan is designed to be easy to navigate. Each strategic goal is supported by:

Goal – the long-term outcome we are working toward;
Approach – the principles that guide how we will achieve the goal;
Focus Areas – the strategic priority activities that will receive additional emphasis over the life of the plan; and
Outcomes – the meaningful results we are working to achieve.

The Focus Areas are intended to highlight where the Federation is concentrating its strategic efforts and resources. They do not represent the full scope of NSFA’s work. Alongside these priorities, the Federation continues to deliver a broad range of ongoing advocacy, programs, services, member engagement, and operational activities that support Nova Scotia farmers every day.

The Organization Plan serves as a roadmap for the Federation, helping guide decision-making, measure progress, and ensure our work remains aligned with the evolving needs of Nova Scotia’s agriculture industry. We encourage members and stakeholders to explore the plan and follow our progress as we work toward these shared priorities.
