116th Annual General Meeting and Trade Show
The NSFA Annual Meeting and Trade Show is set for November 24 & 25, 2011 at the Best Western Glengarry in Truro, NS
This year’s meeting is the first since our recent bylaw changes. As part of those changes, anyone who is a member of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture will now have an opportunity to vote on issues at the meeting.
As per the bylaws, “One Vote for each Registered Farm”. In the past, only those appointed as delegates had an opportunity to vote. As a result of this change, it will be necessary to verify your NSFA membership by presenting your farm registration card upon arrival at the annual meeting. The registration card of a federation member has the NSFA logo on it as well as the NS Department of Agriculture’s logo.
Should you need to verify your NSFA membership or request a new card, please contact the office of the Farm Registrar at 902-893-6510.

The 2012 Policy Paper has been distributed to all Federation Members through the Federation’s newsletter. It is debated and amended by the Annual General Meeting before it effectively becomes the blueprint for the Federation’s lobbying efforts in the following year.
